About us…
Very early on, I discovered I had a talent and flair for
interior design. Finding just the “right” piece of
furniture, knowing how to arrange it in a room, how to
“dress” the walls and surfaces, pick complementary colors,
accessories, and window treatments, and make it all work
together has always come instinctively to me. My family and
friends often asked for my opinion and help with their own
homes when they were stymied by a problem room, or just
couldn’t decide on a color scheme. My own and others
confidence in my abilities, eventually led me to enroll and
study at the NY School of Interior Design. This exposure
enabled me to establish an interior design business and use
my skills to create comfortable and livable environments for
others. During this time, I received further recognition of
my work when one of my clients received an award from his
local Chamber of Commerce for best new office design for the
year. Most recently, in the middle of winter during this
very tight economy, my own home sold in two days while
others have languished on the market for months!
Over the years, having had to deal with changing, and often,
challenging life circumstances, I found it necessary to
switch career direction from interior design to sales and
marketing, and later, management consulting. During these
years I learned to listen carefully and respond with
sensitivity and tact to my client’s needs. A
developing interest in a more holistic approach to living
led me to study how scent (aromatherapy), color, and the
principles of Feng Shui, can influence moods and feelings.
These principles when applied to home staging or redesign,
can further enhance the positive emotional impact a home can
make.
By returning to my first love, designing interiors, and by
becoming an HSR Certified Home Stager, Redesigner, and
member of American Society of Home Stagers & Redesigners
as well as The Real Estate Staging Association, I
have come full circle. Whether you yearn for surroundings
that soothe, sizzle, or sell, The Artful Arranger can
make it happen!
